Hult Prize 2022/23 at Samriddhi College was more than just a competition — it was a movement. With the theme “Redesigning Fashion,” the event challenged students to reimagine the fashion industry, to question its environmental and ethical footprints, and to propose impactful business models that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Over several weeks, student teams engaged in a rich program of info‐sessions, workshops, design and business mentoring, and pre‐event activities to deepen their understanding of sustainable design, supply chain concerns, and market viability. These preparatory sessions helped sharpen their ideas and gave them the tools to pitch with confidence.

On the final day, each team had the opportunity to present their solutions to a panel of distinguished judges from diverse backgrounds — industry, academia, and social enterprise. Their pitches were evaluated on creativity, feasibility, impact, and business viability. The event also featured networking opportunities, promotional stalls by sponsors, and an audience made up of peers, faculty, and members of the broader community.

The atmosphere was electric — from intense brainstorming sessions to the moment winners were announced, there was a collective sense of purpose, pride, and possibility. Every participant, whether a finalist or not, walked away with new skills, critical feedback, and greater clarity of how innovation can meet real‐world needs.

In sum, Hult Prize 2022/23 at Samriddhi College embodied the courage to imagine better futures, the discipline to design workable models, and the heart to create positive change.
