    • Amy Kletter

      Amy Kletter

      With a dual Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, Amy Kletter has worked with students throughout the United States for 32 years. She has a broad background in all academic subjects with an emphasis on language arts and literacy, and a strong personal belief in helping students believe in themselves as active learners. Amy is also a passionate environmentalist, who has helped create pioneering recycling programs throughout New York, USA. Due to retire in 2014, Amy looks forward to giving her time, energy and expertise to the wonderful students of Nepal.

    • Dr. Christine Abrahams

      Dr. Christine Abrahams

      She is the Director of Kindergarten through 12th School Counseling Services in New Jersey. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English and her master’s degree in English as a Second Language from Hunter College in New York City. She earned an additional master’s degree in counseling from The College of New Jersey. Dr. Abrahams earned her Ed.D. in educational leadership from Rowan University in New Jersey. While a graduate student, Dr. Abrahams developed a unique whole school-based curriculum, which combined non-contact, non-competitive martial arts with classroom lessons and individual and group counseling.

      Dr. Abrahams also teaches at The College of New Jersey where she provides individual supervision for school counseling interns. She had also developed at special topics course around the issues of at-risk students which she taught at The College of New Jersey. Dr. Abrahams’ scholarly activities include publications and presentations in the area of group counseling, counseling and movement and working with at-risk adolescents. Dr. Abrahams is a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and holds a credential as a National Certified Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the National Association of College Admission Counselors, the New Jersey Counselor’s Association, the American School Counselor’s Association, the New Jersey School Counselor’s Association and the Association for Specialists in Group Work.

    • Joseph Johnpoll

      Joseph Johnpoll

      He is a United States-born educator with 16-plus years of experience. He’s taught chemistry at New York City and was a founding advisor for Aviation’s Science Leadership Institute, and was the founding assistant principal at New York Harbor School. Since 2005, Joseph has served as the assistant principal of Milwaukie High School, and for the last three years, as the assistant principal of New Urban High School, a small public high school designed specifically for students for whom academic success has been challenging.
       
      Additionally, he is currently supervising administrative candidates for Portland State University, and is serving on the advisory board for A Renaissance School of Arts and Sciences. Joseph recently spent three weeks volunteering as an educator in Nepal, working closely with both students and teachers on curriculum and teaching techniques. He is honored to be a part of Samriddhi College and hopes to help in many ways, including creating enhanced curriculum and providing the most up-to-date, well-researched teacher training programs.
    • Julie Farris

      Julie Farris

      With a Master’s degree from Harvard School of Design, she is a landscape designer and founder of XS Space, whose current work focuses on international projects as well as residential landscapes in Long Island and New York City. Julie has worked with Balmori Associates, the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, artist Sarah Wayland- Smith, and The Public Art Fund, and her work has appeared in numerous publications, including Topos, Landscape Architecture, The Architect’s Newspaper, and the New York Times. She serves on a non-profit organization Big Future Group as a board member, as well as a board member to Brooklyn Botanic Garden, New York.

    • Sanjana Rimal

      Sanjana Rimal

      She, an MBA, is the Executive Director of Business and Financial Services at Rutgers University, providing counsel on financial and business policies and procedures. She financially managed a strategic partnership with external entities to fund $83 million in construction improvements and renovation project that is the new Rutgers Business School. Sanjana develops and implements policies, programs and operational guidelines in budget management, payroll, accounting services, student financial services, student loans, external funding, Purchasing Department and the campus bookstore. Sanjana has also worked as a Higher Education Opportunity Program Counselor and taught at Long Island University in New York. She looks forward to contributing her help and expertise to Samriddhi College.

    • Shirley Louise-May

      Shirley Louise-May

      Shirley has a BS from the University of Maine as a Charles Irwin Travelli Scholar, an MA in Chemical Physics from Columbia University, a PhD in Molecular Biophysics and Physical Chemistry from Wesleyan University and Postdoctoral studies in Macromolecular Structure Simulation as a Chateaubriand Fellow at the Universite Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France. Shirley is a research scientist in the pharmaceutical field since 1995 at several biotech companies and is presently engaged in toxicology research at Pfizer, Inc. in the USA. Shirley describes herself as a scientist, a writer, a proud mother of three, a breast cancer survivor, and someone with a strong belief in the power of personal acts. She is proud to be a part of Samriddhi College.

    • Lei Yu

      Lei Yu

      Since 2005, Lei Yu, Ph.D. has been a distinguished professor in the Department of Genetics at Rutgers University. He has a Master’s in Science in molecular genetics from the National Academy of Sciences in Beijing and a Ph.D. in biology from the California Institute of Technology. From 1997–2005, Yu was a professor in the Department of Cell Biology, Neurobiology and Anatomy at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He currently works on the grant review committee for the National Institutes of Health in the United States.
    • Tauheed Khan

      Tauheed Khan

      A client executive for IBM corporation, Tauheed Khan has an MBA in Corporate Strategy from Leicester Business School, UK, and an MSc in Decision and Information Sciences. Tauheed is the co-founder and CEO of the nonprofit organization Children of Tomorrow, which provides Information and Computer Technology to underserved communities throughout the world. He brings passion to providing solutions to communities with large-scale educational challenges.
