Cognitive Connection Club: A Day of Fun and Learning

Samriddhi College, Bhaktapur, officially launched student led psychology club under the name ‘Cognitive Connection Club’. I am fortunate to share that I am currently a responsible member in the club. We organized “Fun Fact Psychology” event in our college premises on August 24, 2025. It was more than just an event as it endeavored to bring psychology outside the classroom and let students experience it in an engaging way.

The day was filled with activities that blended learning with fun. One of the highlights was the memory test, where the participants had just five seconds to observe the arrangement of cold drinks before placing them back in the right order. Some laughed at how quickly details slipped away, while others amazed us with their sharp recall. Alongside this, we had psychological riddles that made people pause and think differently, maze learning tasks that tested patience, quiz questions that refreshed academic concept and tongue twisters that turned into a hilarious test of focus and attention. Each games reflected real psychological processes, reminding us that psychology is not theory in books but it is something we live every day.

What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. Students from different faculties were excited, laughing and participating wholeheartedly, which made event more colorful and interactive. Winners of games were rewarded with chocolates that created big smiles and kept excitement high throughout the day.

Personally, I was struck by the spirit of teamwork between BPsych and BSW 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students. Planning the event together showed me how cooperation turns ideas into reality. On the day itself, watching classmates cheer each other on during the games made the atmosphere both competitive and warm. Psychology is not just about theories of cognition or behavior but about connection, and this program made that clear.
